Rain, Some Thunder Moving Across Central Alabama This Morning

An area of rain and thunderstorms is lifting northeastward across Central Alabama this morning. Moderate to heavy rain extends along and south of I-59 now from near Tuscaloosa back to the south.

A large mass of moderate to heavy rain covers much of Sumter, Greene, Hale, moving into Perry Counties.

Storms extend from Grove Hill in Clarke County up to Camden and down to Monroeville. They have very heavy rain and some lightning. They are pushing toward Greenville and areas south of Montgomery.

Moderate rain will move over the I-59 COrridor over the next few hours, with heavier rain to the south.

The rain will end from the west this afternoon.

The clouds and rain will hold afternoon readings to between 61F in the Northwest to 63F at Birmingham to 67F at Montgomery, and 70F at Troy.
