Frost Advisories Issued For Parts Of North/Central Alabama

Both offices of the National Weather Service in Birmingham and Huntsville have issued FROST ADVISORIES for the overnight and into the early morning hours on Saturday for all of Central Alabama and parts of Central Alabama.

NWS Huntsville has placed Colbert, Cullman, DeKalb, Franklin, Jackson, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marshall, and Morgan counties in a Frost Advisory starting Saturday at 2:00 am and is set to expire at 8:00 am.

NWS Birmingham has placed Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Cleburne, Etowah, St. Clair, and Winston counties in a Frost Advisory starting Saturday at 3:00 am and is set to expire at 8:00 am.

Frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered. Take steps now to protect tender plants from cold conditions.
