We have some spotty shower activity over the southwestern quarter of Central Alabama at the midday hour, especially south of the I-20 corridor and west of the I-65 corridor. Where rain is not currently falling, skies are partly to mostly cloudy. Temperatures as of the noon round-up were in the lower 70s to the lower 80s across the area. The cool spot was Demopolis at 72 degrees. The warm spot was Troy at 83 degrees. Birmingham was sitting at 82 degrees.

We’ll continue to have partly to mostly cloudy skies throughout the rest of the afternoon and into the early evening with a chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms across the area. Afternoon highs will be in the mid to upper 80s. For tonight, a few isolated showers and thunderstorms will remain possible through the late evening and late-night hours, but all shower activity will come to an end by midnight. Lows will be in the mid to upper 60s.

Friday will feature a mix of sun and clouds throughout the day with a small chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms mainly over the eastern half of Central Alabama. The western half looks to stay dry at this point. Afternoon highs will be in the upper 80s to the lower 90s.
