The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Flood Advisory for…
South Central Lee County in east central Alabama…
Southeastern Macon County in southeastern Alabama…
West Central Russell County in southeastern Alabama…

* Until 1145 PM CDT.

* At 944 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have
fallen.

Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Tuskegee, Society Hill, Uchee, Lake Tuskegee, Warriorstand, Creek
Stand and Marvyn.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
