Serious Flash Flooding Issues in Tuscaloosa County

If you do not have to be on the roads in Tuscaloosa County tonight, just stay off of them. Some roads have become impassable due to flash flooding issued caused by continuous heavy rain that has fallen over the past hour and a half.

In Cottondale, we have a report of 5.40 inches of rain so far tonight (from NWS Chat as of 9:38 pm).

East Tuscaloosa: some roads have become impassable due to flood waters (report by an emergency manager on NWS Chat as of 9:36 pm).
