EXPIRED: New Flood Advisory for Tuscaloosa County Until 1:15 am Wednesday

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for…
Northwestern Tuscaloosa County in west central Alabama…

* Until 115 AM CDT.

* At 1003 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.
Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen.

Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Northern Tuscaloosa, Northport, Holt, Coker, Binion Creek Landing,
Samantha, Lake Lurleen State Park, Tierce Pattton Bridge, Highway
69 Bridge, Lake Tuscaloosa, Sexton Bend, Lake Tuscaloosa Dam, Lake
Nicol, Lake Nicol Park, Lake Harris and Holt Lock And Dam.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
