Flood Warning for Portions of Colbert and Lauderdale Counties Until 1:15 p.m.

The National Weather Service in Huntsville has issued a

* Flood Warning for…
Central Colbert County in northwestern Alabama…
Western Lauderdale County in northwestern Alabama…

* Until 115 PM CDT.

* At 1016 AM CDT, emergency management reported heavy rain in the
warning area due to thunderstorms. Flooding is already occurring.
Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.

Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Florence, Muscle Shoals, Sheffield, Tuscumbia, Cherokee,
Littleville, St. Florian, Underwood-Petersville, Waterloo,
Oakland, Pride Landing, Barton, Threet, Red Rock, Posey Loop, New
Bethel, Wright, Colbert Heights, Northwest Alabama Regional
Airport and Riverton.
