EXPIRED Flood Advisory for Southern Tuscaloosa County Until 9:45 pm

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Flood Advisory for…
Southern Tuscaloosa County in west central Alabama…

* Until 945 PM CDT.

* At 742 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have
fallen over a short period of time. An additional 1 to 2 inches
could fall as this storm remains nearly stationary.

Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Tuscaloosa, Holt, McFarland Mall, University Mall, Bryant Denny
Stadium, Taylorville, University Of Alabama Quad, Stillman
College, Palmore Park and Cottondale.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
