The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Southeastern Lauderdale County in northwestern Alabama…
East central Colbert County in northwestern Alabama…
Northwestern Lawrence County in northwestern Alabama…

* Until 630 PM CDT.

* At 605 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Leighton, or
11 miles east of Muscle Shoals, moving southeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…
Rogersville, Town Creek, Courtland, Center Star, Oliver, Ford City,
Red Bank and Elgin.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
