EXPIRED Flood Advisory for Parts of Montgomery Co. Until 8:45 pm

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for…
North Central Montgomery County in south central Alabama…

* Until 845 PM CDT.

* At 647 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
stationary thunderstorms. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen over
a short period of time. This will cause minor flooding across the
advisory area, especially in poor drainage or urbanized areas.

Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Northeastern Montgomery, Auburn University In Montgomery, Eastdale
Mall, Mount Meigs and Mitylene.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
