Flood Advisory for Parts of Sumter Co. Until 2:00 pm

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for…
Southwestern Sumter County in west central Alabama…

* Until 200 PM CDT.

* At 1053 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to slow
moving thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding.

Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Livingston, York, Cuba, The University Of West Alabama, Bluffport,
Boyd, Coatopa, Kinterbish, Old Mallard Airport, Lilita, Bellamy,
Ward, Payneville and Whitfield.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
