Flood Advisory for Parts of Perry Co. Until 1:15 am

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Small Stream Flood Advisory for…
West Central Perry County in central Alabama…

* Until 115 AM CDT.

* At 1010 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. Between 1.5
and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.

Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Newbern and Vaiden.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
