Alabama anglers are getting three more days to fish for red snapper in 2020.
After completing a review of the private angler red snapper season that ended July 3, the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR) has added the extra days to the private recreational season beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10 and running until midnight on Monday, Oct. 12, said Marine Resources Director Scott Bannon.
The additional red snapper fishing days apply to state and federal waters adjacent to Alabama. The limit will be two fish per angler with a 16-inch total length minimum size.
