Gulf Shores in the Eye; Official Landfall Soon

A Weather Channel crew is measuring 969.5 mb and nearly calm conditions right now as the eye moves over Gulf Shores.

Official landfall will come soon at Gulf Shores or Orange Beach when the geometric center of the storm moves across the coast. The NHC will call that.

Sally is still moving at 3 mph to the north.

Max winds still 105 mph, a category two hurricane. Have had gusts over 90 mph along the coast.

Tremendous rains falling. Over twenty inches in many locations in coastal Alabama. Flash flood emergency still for Baldwin County, Alabama and Escambia County, Florida.
