Flood Advisory Until 10:00 pm for Autauga, Elmore, & Macon Co.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for…
Southeastern Autauga County in central Alabama…
Southern Elmore County in east-central Alabama…
Macon County in southeastern Alabama…

* Until 1000 PM CDT Wednesday.

* At 358 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.
Between 1 and 3 inches of rain has fallen.

Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Prattville, Millbrook, Tuskegee, Wetumpka, Notasulga, Milstead,
Elmore, Coosada, Deatsville, Eclectic, Shorter, Franklin,
Victoryland, Tysonville, Liverpool, Hardaway, and Emerald Mountain.

Additional rainfall is expected over the area. This additional rain
will result in minor flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
