* Flash Flood Warning for…
Macon County in southeastern Alabama…
Southwestern Russell County in southeastern Alabama…
* Until 245 AM CDT Thursday.
* At 844 PM CDT, emergency management reported heavy rain across the
warned area. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain has fallen. Flash
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Macon County
emergency management reported flooding beginning to develop, and
heavy rain is beginning to move into Russell County.
HAZARD…Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing
flash flooding.
SOURCE…Emergency management.
IMPACT…Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include…
Tuskegee, Tallassee, Notasulga, Hurtsboro, Milstead, Shorter,
Franklin, Davisville, Lake Tuskegee, Tuskegee National Forest,
Society Hill, Uchee, Liverpool, Hardaway, Liberty City,
Victoryland, Tysonville, Warriorstand and Creek Stand.
Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 5 inches are possible in the
warned area.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
