Elsewhere Around the Tropics at 4 p.m.

Beta is expected to make landfall on the Middle Texas Coast tomorrow at about 1 p.m. now.

Teddy will deal a glancing blow to Bermuda on the way too Nova Scotia, where Tropical Storm Warnings have been posted. Dangerous rip currents will continue to be experienced along East Coast beaches for several days.

Wilfred remains a depression over the open Atlantic east of the Islands. It should become post-tropical over the next 36 hours.

Paulette’s remnant low is south of the Azores, but may still re-acquire tropical or subtropical characteristics.

There is a small low-pressure system moving into the southeastern Gulf, but it has little chance of becoming a tropical cyclone according to the NHC.
