The statistics are sobering: At least one in eight women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime.

The American Cancer Society estimates that, in Alabama, 4,120 women will learn they have breast cancer in 2020. In comparison, 2,620 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in men nationwide, but the diagnoses are equally devastating.

People may join the cause to help bring an end to the disease by supporting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama (BCRFA). Here are some great ways to increase awareness and help find life-saving treatments that assist Alabamians.
