A Noon Look at Alabama’s Weather: Beautiful Sunday in Progress

| October 18, 2020 @ 12:57 pm

A beautiful Sunday is in progress across North and Central Alabama with clear skies across the entire state at this hour.

Temperatures are warming out of the 60s in the North and through the lower 70s across North Central Alabama. Readings are already in the middle and upper 70s over South Central and South Alabama.

Showers are lined up north of I-40 in Tennessee from south of Union City to Nashville. They are associated with a narrow trough of low pressure and low-level wind max, as well as higher moisture. They will stay well to the north of our state.

Temperatures will top out in the middle and upper 70s across North and Central Alabama this afternoon, with a few 80F readings across the South Central part of the state.

Lows tonight will be in the middle and upper 50s.

The week ahead will be beautiful, at least through Thursday with plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures. The only negative will be increasing humidity.
