EXPIRED – Flash Flood Warning for Calhoun, St. Clair, & Talladega Counties Until 5:00 am

The National Weather Service in Birmingham Alabama has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for…
Talladega County in east central Alabama…
Calhoun County in east central Alabama…
St. Clair County in central Alabama…

* Until 500 AM CDT.

* At 204 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the
warned area. One to two inches of rain has already fallen.
However, heavy rainfall from the remnants of Hurricane Zeta will
continue to move across the area producing additional heavy
rainfall. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Anniston, Oxford, Trussville, Talladega, Sylacauga, Pell City,
Jacksonville, Leeds, Moody and Childersburg.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.
