Strong Storms Moving Through Jefferson & Shelby County

…SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR NORTHERN SHELBY AND SOUTHEASTERN
JEFFERSON COUNTIES UNTIL 200 AM CST…

At 111 AM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Riverchase Galleria, or over Hoover, moving east at 45 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include…
Southern Birmingham, Hoover, Vestavia Hills, Homewood, Pelham,
Mountain Brook, Helena, Chelsea, Childersburg, Wilsonville, Indian
Springs Village, Vincent, Harpersville, Westover, Oak Mountain State
Park, Vandiver, Bluff Park, Oak Mountain Amphitheater, Greystone and
Samford University.
