Alabama Newscenter — Alabama-Built Santa Fe Gets Hyundai Off to Strong Sales Start in 2021

The Alabama-built Santa Fe SUV set a new January total sales record for Hyundai with a 36% climb compared to the same month a year ago.

The Santa Fe sales boost helped get Hyundai off to a nice start in 2021, lifting the automaker to a 2% increase in overall sales in January compared to January 2020.

Hyundai Motor America reported total January sales of 43,394, with retail sales up 1% and setting an all-time January retail record. Hyundai fleet sales were up 12%, representing 6% of total volume.
