The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for…
Blount County in central Alabama…
Northeastern Walker County in central Alabama…
Southeastern Winston County in northwestern Alabama…

* Until 1015 AM CDT.

* At 711 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE…Doppler radar.

IMPACT…Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include…
Jasper, Oneonta, Springville, Sumiton, Cordova, Blountsville,
Cleveland, Arley, Dallas, Warrior, Locust Fork, Double Springs,
Altoona, Snead, Susan Moore, Walnut Grove, Trafford, Allgood,
Fairview and Hayden.
