Strong Storms Soon to Affect Lamar & Marion Counties

…SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR WESTERN MARION AND NORTHERN LAMAR
COUNTIES UNTIL 1230 AM CDT…

At 1202 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
New Salem, or 11 miles southeast of Fulton, moving east at 50 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include…
Hamilton, Guin, Detroit, Beaverton, Weston, Henson Springs,
Shottsville, Rankin Fite Airport, Byrd, Pine Springs, Bexar, Pigeye,
Marion County Public Lake and Pikeville.
