“Never give up, just keep going no matter what, no matter how hard or bad, keep going. At some point, you’ll get to where you want to get. I’ve been through a lot and I’ve endured it. I do a lot of praying, a lot of reading my Bible and it just helped me get through it. I was in foster care. I lost my mother at an early age. I had a very good foster mother. She taught me everything about growing up, being a woman, how to drive, how to do everything and stick to my guns; be the best that I can be no matter what it is that I do. I stayed with her until I was 18 and then I went into the independent living program. From there, I just worked, went to culinary school and got my culinary degree. I worked at a hotel as a chef and I also have my own personal chef business. I just kept going and I’m still doing what I am today. I’m in the process of getting my jam and jelly business off the ground.” – Stacey Davis of Prattville

Her jam and jelly business is Chicken & Sweets Southern Yardbird.

Davis has a son and hopes to instill some of the same things she learned growing up.
