Flood Advisory for Parts of Greene Co. Until 3:15 am

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Flood Advisory for…
West Central Greene County in west central Alabama…

* Until 315 AM CDT.

* At 1219 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. This includes creeks and streams.

Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Boligee, Allison, West Greene, New Mount Hebron, Clinton and Five
Points Intersection.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
