Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Parts of Franklin County Until 4 p.m.: Strong Storms Over Northwest Alabama

Storms have increased this afternoon over Northwest Alabama, from parts of Franklin County down through western Marion into Lamar Counties.

The flash flood warnings will be allowed to expire at 4 p.m. as the rain has ended in the warned areas.

The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Southwestern Franklin County in northwestern Alabama…

* Until 400 PM CDT.

* At 332 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles southeast
of Red Bay, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…
Vina, Hodges, Duketon and Atwood.
