Radar Update at 12:35 p.m.: Strong Storms Over Northwest Alabama

Numerous thunderstorms have developed across Northwest and West Central Alabama early this afternoon.

At 12:35 p.m. CDT, storms cover parts of Franklin, Marion, Winston, Walker, Fayette, Lamar, and Pickens Counties.

The strongest storms over southeastern Marion County near Gu-win, down into western Fayette and eastern Lamar County.

They are moving south-southwest at 20 mph.

They are producing very heavy rain, lightning and gusty winds. Be alert if you see dark or threatening clouds or hear thunder. Be in a sturdy structure if storms are near your location.
