| June 13, 2021 @ 4:00 pm

The severe thunderstorm warning for Hales County has been canceled. The storm just west of Newbern has weakened.

There are three strong storms in Alabama right now:

…One southeast of Moundville in Hale County

…The storm that had the warning on it earlier is now pushing southwest of Greensboro in Hale County

…Another is southeast of Linden in Marengo County

The storms have heavy rain, gusty winds, and frequent lightning.

The strongest storms now are in Mississippi., with several severe thunderstorm warnings in effect.

An outflow boundary moving southeastward through Bibb and Shelby Counties is triggering storm development in northern Shelby and eastern Bibb Counties. Two outflow boundaries have intersected over the Birmingham metro area. Composite reflectivity returns show development may be underway from Homewood through Hoover and down to near Helena.
