People of Alabama
“One of the best decisions I have made is to listen to and have faith in myself. I’ve made a career change that I was nervous about, but I prayed about it and it all turned out OK. I used to work as a hiring manager, and I was comfortable, but I knew that there was something more for me. So, I basically let go of my job to pursue my passion for healthcare. At the time, I didn’t have a plan, but now, I have a better future ahead of me.” – Karen Griffin of Montgomery
Griffin is currently studying online for her master’s degree in health care administration from Southern New Hampshire University so she can become a licensed assisted living administrator in Alabama. She said her mother, who is battling dementia, is what inspired her desire to help others.
