Goshen UMC Memorial

Thanks to ABC 33/40 Skywatcher Michelle Miklik for these images… she writes:

“I also wanted to send these to you. Took these also on Sunday on the way back from Leesburg/Centre via Hwy 9 toward Piedmont, so I got a chance to see the memorial where the old church use to stand. It was moving to be in that spot.”

For those unaware of this story, an EF-4 tornado killed 20 people inside the Goshen United Methodist Church on March 27, 1994 during the morning worship service on that Palm Sunday morning. This site is in far southern Cherokee County, just north of Piedmont, in Northeast Alabama.
