| August 31, 2021 @ 12:24 pm

That’s right! Grammy Award-winning artist Jimmy Hall, lead vocalist, saxophonist, and harmonica player for the band Wet Willie, will join the longest-running weather podcast this evening after the show was pushed back one day due to the remnants of Ida pushing through the area. His style of R&B-infused rock and roll propelled Wet Willie to have several hits on the US Hot 100 with their most popular hit “Keep On Smilin'” to reach number 10!

Other achievements by Jimmy Hall:

• Reached the Top 40 as a solo artist with “I’m Happy That Love Has Found You.”

• His songs recorded by Gregg Allman, The Marshall Tucker Band, The Amazing Rhythm Aces, Blackberry Smoke, Johnny Russell, and others.

• Band leader and vocalist for Hank Williams, Jr. since the 80s.

• Georgia Music Hall of Fame and Alabama Music Hall of Fame inductee.

• Named “Alabama’s Greatest Southern Rocker” by the Alabama Media Group in 2017.

• Won a Grammy with the Fisk Jubilee Singers for the Best Roots Gospel Album in 2021.
