Flash Flood Watch Extended for Much of Central Alabama Through Monday Evening
The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect through Monday evening. Periods of locally heavy rain are forecast through Monday. A focus for the highest coverage of rain and multi-inch rainfall totals may develop toward the northeast portion of Central Alabama on Monday. This trend may allow for counties elsewhere to be removed from the watch prior to Monday evening.
Central Alabama counties in the watch until 7 pm Monday are: Autauga, Barbour, Bibb, Blount, Bullock, Calhoun, Chambers, Cherokee, Chilton, Clay, Cleburne, Coosa, Elmore, Etowah, Fayette, Jefferson, Lamar, Lee, Lowndes, Macon, Marion, Montgomery, Pike, Randolph, Russell, Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega, Tallapoosa, Tuscaloosa, Walker, and Winston.
