Alabama Weather on this Sunday Morning

| October 3, 2021 @ 6:46 am

Fairly numerous showers formed over North and Central Alabama late last night, and they are still ongoing this morning in a very moist atmosphere across the state.

There was no lightning across Alabama as of this writing at 6:30 a.m. The nearest was over extreme northern Mississippi.

Temperatures are in the upper 60s to lower 70s.

Showers and storms are expected to parade across the state today, bringing occasionally heavy rain. There will be a few downpours this afternoon at Talladega, but they should get the Yellawood 500 in without postponing it.

Flooding is not expected to be a problem, although some localized incidents are possible. The storms are not expected to be severe.

Highs today will be in the upper 70s to near 80F.

Rain chances will be with us into midweek before we dry out a bit at the end of the week, setting the stage for a nice weekend.

Video will be up in about 45 minutes. Have a great day!
