Large, Destructive, Long Track Tornado Continues Tonight in Northwest Tennessee

Significant damage tonight in Samburg. The fire station took a direct hit. There are reports of multiple entrapments.

There are also unconfirmed reports of fatalities at the nursing home in Monette AR.

A large and extremely dangerous tornado continues on the ground tonight just northwest of Ridgely, TN.

The tornado has crossed the Mississippi River from Arkansas. It appears to have been on the ground for nearly 75 miles.

It will be near Tiptonville and Samburg shortly. Woodland Mills will be up next as the storm passes just northwest of Union City, TN.

The town of Monette, AR was struck hard. Monette is just east of Jonesboro, about 75 miles northwest of Memphis. A nursing home was hit with residents entrapped.

Damage has been also reported near Leachville, Hornersville, and Deeering in Arkansas.
