The video is rendering and will be up in a few minutes.

Just a quick update in the meantime…

A large area of rain and storms is pushing eastward across Central Alabama this morning. The system made the journey across from Arkansas overnight. it now covers parts of Tuscaloosa, Pickens, western Jefferson, Walker, Cullman and Blount Counties.

Those polygons you see on the radar are Significant Weather Advisories for the storms from the NS Bimrmingham.

It is raining hard in Tuscaloosa and in the towns just north of I-59 all the way into western Jefferson County.

The activity is slowly weakening, but it does have lots of lightning, gusty winds, and even some small hail. The storms will not become severe, so just an inconvenience if you’re heading out this morning.
