Wind Advisory Issued for All of North/Central Alabama Until 7 pm

NWS Huntsville has issued a WIND ADVISORY until 7 pm tonight for the following counties in North Alabama: Colbert, Cullman, DeKalb, Franklin, Jackson, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marshall, and Morgan.

NWS Birmingham has issued a WIND ADVISORY until 7 pm tonight for the following counties in Central Alabama: Autauga, Barbour, Bibb, Blount, Bullock, Calhoun, Chambers, Cherokee, Chilton, Clay, Cleburne, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Etowah, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Jefferson, Lamar, Lee, Lowndes, Macon, Marengo, Marion, Montgomery, Perry, Pickens, Pike, Randolph, Russell, Shelby, St. Clair, Sumter, Talladega, Tallapoosa, Tuscaloosa, Walker, and Winston.

* WHAT… West winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* WHERE… All of north and central Alabama.

* WHEN… Until 7 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS… Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high
profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
