Jewish Food and Culture Fest
The Jewish Food and Culture Fest is back after a two-year pandemic hiatus. One of Birmingham’s favorite outdoor food events will celebrate Jewish culture and traditions Sunday, May 15, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Enjoy foods like brisket, falafel, corned beef, matzah ball soup and more. Entertainment includes live music, the Tickled Pink Petting Zoo, improv comedy from Etc. (the Extemporaneous Theater Company), bounce houses and the Alabama National Guard’s rock-climbing wall. The event will also celebrate Israel’s 74th Yom Ha’Atzmaut (independence day) with a display of banners to take visitors on a “tour” through Israel. For more information, call 205-879-0411. Follow along on Facebook and Instagram. The Levite Jewish Community Center is at 3960 Montclair Road.
