Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Parts of Marion and Lamar Counties Until 130 p.m.

Roughly the northern two thirds of Alabama does have a threat of severe weather today and tonight.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Central Marion County in northwestern Alabama…
Northeastern Lamar County in west central Alabama…

* Until 130 PM CDT.

* At 1248 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Beaverton,
or 9 miles south of Hamilton, moving northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

Hamilton, Guin, Brilliant, Beaverton, Gu-
Win, Twin, Henson Springs, Marion County Public Lake, Pearces Mill,
Rankin Fite Airport and Pikeville.
