Strong Storms Pushing Southeastward

Strong storms are pushing southeastward across Alabama this afternoon ahead of a cold front.

The strongest storms are across parts of Tuscaloosa County southwestward along I-59 through Greene and Sumter Counties. Other strong storms areover parts of Etowah, DeKalb, and Jackson Counties, from the Gadsden area up I-59 to near Powell.

Nothing severe, but the stronger storms will have heavy rain, frequent lightning, and winds that could gust as high as 40 mph.

Storms are moving east at 20 mph. The storms will reach the I-59 Corridor in the Birmingham area within the hour. You can see the dark clouds approaching from the northwest.
