Residents of International Falls, Minnesota and good old Deadhorse, Alaska would chuckle at the attention given to our low temperatures this week. But we have our own adjectives: “unbelievable and illegal.”

Larry Mason reported a low of 13 this morning at his location in the Clay/Pinson area. But he also mentioned that as of noon today, the temperature has been below freezing for 114 hours in a row! That hurts!

Here is a roundup of low temperatures around the state this morning. With reports coming in from so many different sources, we may have overlooked some, but we don’t mean to.

LOOKING AHEAD TO THE WEEKEND
If we do get about a 2-inch snow cover and the skies clear and the wind drops off and we keep these incredibly low dew points, it could get colder than we expected over the weekend. Here are the temperatures. It is possible that the ole thermometer may have dropped a degree or so after the 6 am report time of the official stations.
