Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued for Northeastern Jackson County

The National Weather Service in Huntsville has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for northeastern Jackson County until 9:15 PM CDT.

At 8:34 PM, a storm near Hollywood was moving east at 35 mph, producing wind gusts up to 60 mph and hail up to half-dollar size.

Locations in the path include Scottsboro, Stevenson, Bridgeport, and surrounding communities.

Residents should seek shelter indoors immediately, as damaging winds and hail may impact vehicles, trees, and structures.
