A quick check on 3 o’clock readings…

Birmingham…101F…ties record for the date…temp will probably go up another degree or two…breaking the record for the date…also the sixth consecutive day with 100F or hotter readings…only three such streaks have been longer in Birmingham…and the record is eight straight days…we could break that by Wednesday…

Calera…100F

Tuscaloosa…103F…record for the date is 104F…which will likely be tied or broken when all is said and done

Anniston…98F…evidence of a little cooler, more moist air over eastern sections…as pointed out by Sky Watcher Vic Bell…

Montgomery…103F…broke record of 102F

Radar is clear…but some big storms over SE Alabama…no chance of them coming our way…big storm east of Troy. Severe thunderstorm warning for Gilf County in the Panhandle…big storms between Tallahassee and Panama City.
