Climate Change – Both Sides

| September 14, 2010 @ 9:49 am | 11 Replies

We have now completed two WeatherBrains episodes that present both sides of the climate argument. Most of you know my opinion, and understand that I encourage everybody to listen to both sides. Then, make up your own mind with solid information that doesn’t come from a politician or a journalist that have no understanding of the issue.

WeatherBrains 240 features Joe D’Aleo, a Certified Consultant Meteorologist and a Fellow of the American Meteorological Society (AMS). He was the first Director of Meteorology at the cable TV Weather Channel and has over 30 years experience in professional meteorology. Joe shares my opinion that the climate change drivers are mostly natural, with very little anthropogenic impact.

This week’s show, WeatherBrains 242, has my friend Dan Satterfield, chief meteorologist at WHNT in Huntsville, with the opposing viewpoint that climate change is man-made and the planet is in trouble.

No screaming, hollering, or any of the typical cable news banter here. Both guys state their case, and the decision is yours.

We should mention that Reed Timmer of “Storm Chasers” on the Discovery Network was also on the show last night and was a fantastic guest. Hope you get a chance to listen…
