POSITION OF WEST ALABAMA STORMS AT 6:50 P.M.
The line of thunderstorms extends from Lauderdale County south to near Russellville and continuing south through Eastern Marion into North Fayette County and into Pickens County. The line of storms was moving almost due east. They are still quite strong, but there seems to be a slow downward trend in the intensity. Lightning detection equipment shows a gradual decrease in the number of strokes and intensity.

But please note: these storms are still producing quite a punch even though there are no official severe thunderstorm warnings at the moment.
