WeatherBrains Episode 98 is now online (December 10, 2007). This is THE netcast audio program for people who love everything weather. And only two more episodes until we turn 100!!

Weather topics including discussing the wintery weather across the mid-section of the country. A special guest is Richard Claunch who is in Tulsa, OK, where he describes the winter disaster going on. As many as 300,000 people may be without power in his area with many, many trees down. Richard has been without power for almost 24 hours and power is not likely to be restored for four days or more. Ice accumulation is estimated to be around an inch. And forecasts were good. But transportation is an issue since both of Richard’s vehicles have trees on them even though roads are passable.

And Olga has been named in the tropics. While described as a subtropical system, Olga is about a week and a half beyond the normal end of the 2007 hurricane season.
