Storms Pounding Southern Jefferson/Northern Shelby Counties

Intense thunderstorms continue to pound southern Jefferson and northern Shelby Counties at this hour,

They are most intense from Riverchase northward into Hoover. They are trying to back build into Cahaba Heights and Vestavia.

REPORTS

…large tree blocking road at Hoover Sports Park…power lines down as well

…water over the road David Green Road and Old Montgomery Highway between Hoover and Pelham. Causing traffic problems.

…Ashley reports marble sized hail at ABC3340 in Riverchase.

Severe thunderstorm warning continues for southern Jefferson and Shelby Counties until 715. A flash flood warning is in effect as well.
