North Alabama Severe Thunderstorm Warnings

The NWS in Huntsville has issued severe thunderstorm warnings for several counties in North Alabama tonight as a cluster of storms drops southeastward into the state ahead of a frontal boundary.

They have been producing very heavy rain over southern Tennessee, more than 3.5 inches in Rutherford County. They also have tremendous lightning. They could produce scattered wind damage reports as well.

These storms could hold together well down into North Central and Northeast Alabama overnight.
