A Deadly, Devastating, Tragic Night

An apparent long track tornado, or series of tornadoes moved across northern Tuscaloosa and northern Jefferson County early this morning.

The first damage was reported in northern Tuscaloosa County north of Coker. It moved across Lake Tuscaloosa and then across the relatively unpopulated part of northern Tuscaloosa County

There is extensive damage in the following areas:

Taylors Ferry Road of western Jefferson County
Fultondale
Pinson Valley
Center Point
Old Springville Road
Clay Chalkville
Paradise Valley
Margaret

Hospitals are on stand by for mass casualities.

We have reports of at least three fatalities in Western Jefferson County around Oak Grove. There was one other fatality reported by Concord Fire in their jurisdiction.

Center Point Parkway is shut down as is Deerfoot Parkway. Stay out of the affected areas please, please.
