Dog likely saves lives of tornado victims

Pets can save your life!  The people featured in this story, Lori and Chris Theriot, have been friends of ours for years.  They held the tool and gadget shower for Jennifer and me before we got married in 2004 in the same house pictured here, that is now completely destroyed.  They went to their safe place (interior bathroom), put a bicycle helmet on their daughter and wore helmets themselves, and escaped EF-2 to EF-3 damage unscathed.  Their dog may have saved their life.  Great story to read.
